Medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, it's a perfumed, succulent wine that concludes with a long, rose-inflected finish.」また、評価したアドヴォケイト編集長のウイリアム・ケリー氏は下記の様に紹介しております。「In other words, as I wrote earlier this year, there's no smoke or mirrors at this address, nor are there glamorous appellations. Yet the results are striking wines that would embarrass, nay humiliate, plenty of winemakers' grander AOCs in a blind tasting—and not just out of the gates, but with bottle age too (both red and white). Complex, perfumed and elegant, the wines merit a place in any serious Burgundy lover's cellar, and the modest tariff they command proves that great Burgundy remains, for the time being, accessible to all. Bizarrely, Fornerol has only attracted episodic attention from the press, and though he is nearing retirement, I hope this short article does something to do justice to his exemplary career—and to alert our readers to the quality of his wines, while they can still find them.」※因みにラルロの2019年のアドヴォケイトのポイントアップしておきます。↓ディディエ氏の祖父の時代にドメーヌ創設。約40年前父親の時代よりワイン造りを本格的に開始と同時にドメーヌ元詰も始めました。1982年から1998年までドメーヌ・ド・ラルロのブドウ園マネージャー兼セラーマスターを務め、そのほとんどの期間、ジャン=ピエール・ド・スメの下で働いていました。1999年、祖父よりドメーヌを引き継ぐためにL'Arlotを去りました。1987年にディディエ氏が2ha受け継ぎ、1996年には全ての畑6.5haを受け継ぎました。赤ワインは伝統的に木桶で醸造。父親の時代には80％徐梗していましたが、ディディエ氏はアペラシオン、ミレジムにより比率を変えています。オート・コート・ド・ニュイは60～80％除梗、コート・ド・ニュイ・ヴィラージュは98年以降全く除梗していません。1996年よりワインを自然な状態に近づけるため、澱引きをせず、ノン・フィルターで1本ずつ瓶詰することを試みています。コート・ド・ニュイ・ヴィラージュではヴィエイユ・ヴィニュを多く使用しています。最も若い樹で30～35年。60～70年の樹のものを多く使用しています。とても小さいドメーヌですがディディエ氏に全権が移行後は地道な努力がなされています。2006年からは、ラルロを引退したジャン・ピエール・ドュ・スメ氏も加わり、コンサルタントとして共に働いています。
