★1955年にキャピタル・レコードからリリースされた、ベニー・グッドマンとの共演で名声を博したトランペット奏者、ハリー・ジェームスの代表作『Harry James in Hi-Fi』が2CDにてリイシュー。ボーナストラックには「Countin'」(M.34)、「April in Paris」(M.29)を含む14曲が収録。

★『Harry James in Hi-Fi』は、LP時代の初期に制作され、ハリー・ジェームス率いるオーケストラの大ヒット曲で構成された、初版発行時にはベストセラーとなった一枚。デューク・エリントン・オーケストラの一員として名を馳せたトロンボーン奏者のフアン・ティゾや、サックス奏者のウィリー・スミス、歌手のヘレン・フォレストもこのアルバムに参加している。また、今作では当時開発されたばかりのハイ・フィデリティ録音技術が活用されている。

★1955年から56年にかけて録音された彼の代表的な2枚のアルバム『Harry James in Hi-Fi』と『More Harry James in Hi-Fi』、そしてフィジカル化されていないセカンド・アルバムのセッション音源から4曲のボーナストラック、さらにボーナスとして1957年のLP『Wild About Harry』の全曲が収録されており、超豪華なコレクションアルバムとなっている。ホアン・ティゾール、ウィリー・スミス、ヘレン・フォレストなどが出演。デラックス42トラック2枚組CDエディション、16ページブックレット付き。アルバム3枚＋ボーナストラック4曲。限定盤。
